What you will learn:

This online course provides a thorough introduction to SDH concepts - frame structure, virtual containers, overhead bytes, and the multiplexing hierarchy - giving engineers the foundation they need to work confidently on SDH equipment and networks.

Course prerequisites:

An understanding of the basic principles of time division multiplexing and synchronous transmission. It is recommended that the PTT e-learning course "Synchronous transmission fundamentals" is studied before attempting this "SDH principles" course.

Delivery platform requirements:
To access the course, a computer/tablet running a browser such as Chrome, Safari, Edge etc. is required. The device should have an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024x768.
