This course first describes the techniques that are used to offer a differentiated QofS over an IP network and then describes the role of the various protocols involved in providing a Voice over IP (VoIP) service.

Target audience:

This course is designed for technicians and engineers involved in the design, commissioning and maintenance of networks using the Internet Protocol.

 

Course prerequisites:

You will get the most out of this course if you already have a basic understanding the principles of the Internet Protocol and routing. It is recommended that the PTT e-learning course "IP networks" is studied before attempting this "Advanced IP networks" course. The study of the PTT course "Interior IP routing" is also suggested.
