A personal licence allows you to use a licensed course for your own education or career development.

CDROM installation

You may make an installation of a licensed course on a single computer. Just one person may use that installation for an unlimited period.

Annual online access

You may access a licensed course for a period of 12 months from date of purchase from more than one computer (for example, from your home computer and from a computer at your office) but not at the same time.

PTT has over 15 years experience of delivering e-learning to corporate clients in the telecommunications sector. We offer a choice of e-learning delivery methods and licensing options to suit your company's needs.

Our courses can be delivered on CDROM or accessed online. Both of these delivery options will benefit from the training management facilities of PTT's dyskans learning management system (LMS).

Operating system: Windows 98, 2000, XP or Vista. Hardware: CDROM drive; 100 Mbytes of free hard disk space; 64 Mbytes of RAM; 16 bit colour display. A soundcard is recommended but not obligatory.

Internet requirements: for study online a connection of at least 128 kbit/s or higher is recommended.

learntelecoms e-learning courses are available for delivery on CDROM or over the Internet. The online versions of the courses retain all of the interactive features and high-quality graphics of the CDROM version with the added flexibility of allowing study of a course to continue from any PC with Internet access.

Course facilities

A trainee's record of progress through a course is maintained on a PTT server. Details recorded include the score achieved for all completed question sessions, the time spent studying the course as well as any bookmarks placed by the trainee. This information is updated each time a trainee leaves a study session and is available to that trainee for subsequent study sessions on any PC or laptop connected to the Internet.

To study a course from CDROM, an installation of the course is made from the CDROM onto a PC. The installation is locked to that PC by means of a security code. A personal licence allows just one installation of a licensed course.

Details recorded include the number of chapters studied, the score achieved for all completed question sessions, the time spent studying the course as well as any bookmarks placed by the trainee. This information is updated each time a trainee leaves a study session and is available to that trainee for subsequent study sessions on that PC. If Internet access is available, the records are backed-up to a PTT server in case they need to be restored at a later date.

Purchase a single user (personal) licence

Internet access or CDROM study can be bought online. Just click on the link to a course information page as listed in the course catalogue and then add the course to your shopping basket. When you have finished adding courses to your shopping basket, you can pay online by credit card (visit your shopping basket for more information). Alternatively, order and payment by credit card can be made by telephone.

Payment options include direct bank transfer or by cheque drawn on a UK Bank. Payment details will be provided in our invoice.

There is no delivery charge for online courses - you will be emailed access details.

For CDROM delivery, the prices are:

United Kingdom: recorded delivery - £10 per order

European Union (EU): Parcelforce tracked delivery - £42 per order

Rest of the world: by courier - £62 per order

CDROM orders will be dispatched within two working days of receipt of payment.

Purchases made from within the United Kingdom and the European Union (EU) are subject to UK VAT at 17.5% of the complete order. Orders from corporate customers quoting a valid EU VAT registration number will be invoiced without VAT being added.
