Local Area Networks (LANs) based on Ethernet technology are everywhere - in offices and now increasingly in homes. The two courses that make up the LanNet suite of courses cover all relevant aspects of these networks - from the principles and use of structured cabling to the components of a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Ethernet fundamentals and structured cabling
Ethernet networks
The LanNet courses are ideal for those studying for a career in data communications and who require a detailed knowledge of Ethernet LANs and for technical staff involved in the installation or maintenance of Local Area Networks
Structured Cabling: Uniquely for an e-learning course, the first course in the LanNet suite contains a practical guide to the benefits and use of structured cabling.
LanNet uses interactive simulations, hypertext and multimedia sound and video examples to explain and illustrate the technical material. Training facilities include an extensive glossary of terms which can be searched and sections can be copied to a trainee's individual notes.
The LanNet courses are fully integrated. Revision links are provided in each chapter which take the trainee to relevant sections in the other LanNet course (if licensed). The trainee can also place his/her own bookmarks which are accessible from any of the courses.
Related learntelecoms e-learning courses: The LanNet suite of e-learning courses provide the ideal preparation for study of the IP networks and Advanced IP networks courses.
